About Me

Expertise

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker. I have a BS in Psychology and an MA in Human Services from Liberty  University, and an MSW from University of Central Florida.

In addition to my formal education, I have many life experiences that help me identify on a personal,

empathic level with my clients and their experiences.

I have been working in the mental health field since 2015 in a variety of settings and capacities - as a peer support specialist, an inpatient psychiatric unit mental health counselor, a community agency therapist, and a private practice therapist.

Approach

I enjoy working with individuals (13 years of age and older), couples, and families.  I welcome all faiths, beliefs, and sexual and gender identities.  My services are client-driven, solution-focused, and growth-centered - my role is to help clients find ways to be their best selves in ways that are meaningful to them.

I am trained in multiple modalities - CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), TF-CBT (trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy), EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), SFBT (solution-focused brief therapy), and MI (motivational interviewing).

Areas of Focus

I utilize an eclectic approach based on individual need, learning style, and pace of healing to help treat a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, and grief.

Our coaching program specializes in assisting parents who have lost a child, guiding them on a path towards healing and coping with their grief.

My Offerings

Mental Health Therapy

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker dedicated to person-centered trauma-informed mental health services. With expertise in supporting individuals aged 13 and older, couples, and families, I utilize an eclectic approach that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and positive psychology. Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs and learning styles of clients, fostering growth and resilience. My goal is to provide a compassionate and personalized approach that empowers clients to navigate their mental health journeys effectively.

Parent Grief Support Program

The Parent Grief Support Program offers an empathic space for parents who have experienced the profound loss of a child. This program focuses on guiding parents through their grief journey, helping them from feeling lost and overwhelmed to finding a sense of peace and connection. By engaging the parasympathetic nervous system, I support parents in calming their hyperactive stress responses and embracing their grief as part of their ongoing story. Together, we cultivate a supportive environment that honors their loss while promoting healing.
